Overview
ProFund partnered with Satellite in 2023 to build an offshore software development team. They were attracted to Satellite’s deep expertise within the fintech sector (through work with other customers) and chose Satellite to first assist with lending-related development and then a significantly broader scope as the business expanded.
Key Challenges
ProFund wanted to accelerate development of it’s complex, multi-faceted platform while maintaining a scalable cost structure and ensuring security and compliance needs are met. They turned to Satellite to build an offshore team that could operate as a seamless extension of their in-house IT staff.

ProFund has strict compliance and security requirements. Satellite put the right people in place to handle security, infrastructure and deployment, while bringing in part-time resources to perform tests and consult on best practices.

Technical Stack
The ProFund-Satellite team works with modern programming languages and tools, including React, TypeScript and Node.js for the majority of its platform code. Hosting is on AWS and ProFund uses MySQL as its primary database.
