Sparrow and Satellite began working together in 2024 to build a high-performing offshore software development team. Sparrow’s founding team had worked with Satellite in the past and, having had a positive experience, chose Satellite to assist with the development of their B2C digital lending business for issuing credit cards.
Key Challenges
Sparrow is led by senior credit and technology specialists that want to control the product roadmap. However, given the complexity and scope of their systems, they needed a cost-efficient way to scale up their engineering team beyond what U.S.-based recruiting would allow.

Given the deep subject-matter expertise and technical skills of Sparrow’s founding team, we built the Sparrow-Satellite team to provide the most leverage possible. Rather than operating in a silo, we fully integrated the team from Day 1.
Shifted Hours & English Skills
Since Sparrow is based on the west coast of the U.S., we prioritized team members that were able to align their work schedule to meet Sparrow’s needs.This reduced friction and was a key success factor.
Technical Stack
The Satellite-Sparrow team works with modern programming languages and tools, including React, TypeScript and Nest.js for the majority of its platform code. Hosting is on AWS and Sparrow uses DynamoDB as its database.
